Behind the MaskFor a while now,
There's been a mask.
A mask to over my face,
So people wont see the real me.
Wont see how broken I am.
How broken my life is.

There was one day,
That I thought it was the right time to let go of my mask.
My security blanket.

I let myself feel.
I let myself care.
I let myself get hurt.

I've learned to much,
To be this stupid.
I guess old habits die hard.

Maybe one day I'll actually be happy,
And not wear my mask to cover it all up.
I Can't Do This AnymoreI use to love you,
I use to care,
But now it seems like
I have drifted a different way.

Those feelings that I once had for you,
Are no longer there.
I don't think they will come back either.

Honestly, I can't do this anymore.
I can't pretend to love you when I don't.
So I'll save you heart ache,
And I'll give you time to get over me,
But just know that I don't think I'll ever love you again.

It was nice while it lasted,
But it ended way to fast.
You see my heart let go of you.
It couldn't hang on any longer.

It set itself free,
And decided it was time to move on.
I'm sorry that this happened,
But there is nothing that I can
FacelessWho are we,
Jumping from name to name.
File to file,
Without nary a form.

Hiding behind nothing
But ourselves
But what we want to be.
And the past creeps up.

We distance it from us,
The once from the now,
Blank blurs from a colorful cascade,
Twirling in an endless macabre.

Undecided, we forge on.
Nothing holding us back.
No one telling us
What to do.

Regrets?
Who needs 'em.
Reminiscence?
Fuck that.

Existence crumbles
What was once solid
Is now a frail shadow
It bows to Nothing.

Giving up becomes
A very viable option.

Yet we pick ourselves up,
Craft life from an empty void,
And struggle against
The tides of life.

NegativityIt drowns the world
Eating away at the core
Of all societies
Never straying too far.

Inside of everyone
Is its pulsing seed;
Waiting to one day consume;
For the perfect opportunity.

When it awakens,
That's the time
To be truly scared
No one survives.

I'm losing myself
I think I'm losing my mind

I'm feeling dumb
But no longer care
Everybody thinks I'm fine

It's just a phase they say
It'll fade away

But what about this, what about me
I want to be left alone, can't you see
That you think it's a problem, but I know I'm fine
What about this little way of mine

I'm looking around
And taking it in
But in no time it's out

Trust me it's not wrong
Just my way of dealing
With everything around

FearThe Dark Spot
Festering in the back of the mind.
Always present,
Always growing.
Expanding past irrational,
Devouring sanity piece by piece.
Reality shatters.
Poison enters the veins,
Pumping viciously through the heart.
Spreading.
Tremors ripple through the body,
Paralyzing the muscles.
Fear swallows the mind.
Tears at the flesh.
Heart explodes.
Blood pours.
Releasing the adrenalin.
RUN. FIGHT. SCREAM.
FEAR CONSUMES ALL.
Fairytale
Once upon a time a long time ago
There lived a little girl
Who looked out her window
And every night she'd look and she'd see
what was waiting for her
when she finally broke free

And every single night
she would sing into the sky
and she wouldn't see the darkness
only the moon and the stars
she would only see the light
that was shining just for her

And this little girl
yes, she was me
back then she was still strong
strong enough to believe
in miracles and promises
without being afraid of cold hard truth

Oh yes, back then, so long ago
Back then, I still believed
I believe in fairy tales
and i knew that good would always wi
Do You Remember?Do you remember that poem you wrote me?
Well, I found it the other day.
It was in my jacket pocket.

I didn't know one piece of paper
Could bring back so many memories.
It's amazing how long it has been
Since you gave it to me.

I am thankful that
I had you in my life.
All the good and bad times,
They made us that much stronger.

Thank you for coming into my life.
Thank you loving me.
I couldn't have asked for anything better.

So you see what a simple
Piece of paper with words on it can do.
It made me remember why I cared so much.
It made me remember you,
So thank you for writing it.
Staying HiddenI can't meet your stare
I'm afraid you'll see
this delicate love I carry with me

I can't brush your skin
or come too near
without an overwhelming feeling of belonging here

so long as I live
the things I do to stay hidden
keep us apart
if only the idea could disappear from this heart
if only the words could vanish from the sky
Love?Harsh pain sears through, heavy hurt, ringing ears,
The silent drip drop of invisible tears,
Clenched teeth, just bear it, you'll pull through.
Love? You're not sure. Devotion? Maybe.
Loyalty? Certainly. Pride? Absolutely.
Shame, it clings like cobwebs to your soul,
Sinful, ugly shame, that's why lips stay sealed.
Satin red blood, bruises on the uneaten apple,
Clumsy? Yes, ridiculously so. Accidents? All the time.
Domestic violence? A bitter sweet crime.
No, a man can never hit a woman,
But women feel free to hit your man.
For shame and pride are the biggest silencers of all.
Strong and WeakI don't want to feel anymore
I want to give up
I want to let go and drown
I want to be what I think I am
Weak.

I want to feel again
I don't want to give up

I want to be what they think I am
Strong.

I don't want to let anyone in
I want to hate
I want to die
I want to be what I think I am

An Exit To NowhereThere is an exit, a way out of all of this,
but this one, is one i have said I will never go there
It is one that many have chosen, one that many fear.
This is the darkest exit, the exit to nowhere.

I have told many, promises are what i have made,
but this exit over here, has such a sweet smell in the air.
Promises are made to be broken, is what I have been told,
is this really the path i should take, this exit to nowhere?

No, I can't, I would never be forgiven,
to destroy such binds i have made, its not a barren i wish to bare
Arg, I'm so confused, why can't i just forget all this,

I got out before you lit the match.
I left before I could get hurt even more.
Did you feel it when I pulled away?
Did you feel like I was ready to leave?

I hope someday you think back,
To when you had everything right in your arms.
I hope something reminds you of us,
And what we had.
But most of all I hope you think about
How you lost someone who loved you very much.

So did you feel it that day?
Did you feel me forget you?
Did you feel like I was ready to leave?
Did you feel it when I pulled away?
Because I did.
My Guard Is UpI was so vulnerable a long time ago
That my heart has put up walls.
My heart is being guarded by walls,
So that I don't get hurt again.

Maybe that's why I don't fall in love easily.
Maybe that's why I don't know how to love someone.
I am so scared of getting hurt that I distance myself,
And I don't show my feelings to the one's I love.

I keep everything bottled up inside
Because I don't know how to show you my feelings.
I don't know if you will understand any of this,
But I will try my best to show you how I feel.

My guard is up because I don't want to get hurt.
My heart has put up walls,
And it has no desired to tear them down.

There are so many things that you don't know about me,
And you probably never will.
You are so oblivious to my existence,

I wish you would just look around you,
And notice all the harm that you are causing.
Realize that we are all being hurt by your actions.
But I guess this is easier said than done.
So I guess what I need to tell you,
